My father thinks he is stupid and not getting paid .. Secondly, I think it's a very good learning experience for future career that I'm interested in, and help many people in this process. My dad does not let me do community service, unless I can not think of a better reason ... Is it so wrong to want to do charitable work. In particular, I work at a shelter because I love animals. Can you imagine a convincing argument for my father, I do community service? Another reason is totally boring, because your stay in the house all day .. I want some fun and enjoy it. All ideas, persuasiveness? I am 16 years and a summer holiday .. If you have no idea conviction can bring something else to break my boredom ... But make sure they are not friends .. thank you very much:)

I think it's great that you want to do community service, shows you take care and a heart. I do not know what to say to your father, it seems it is not easily convinced, just tell him the truth, he wants to help people and that's what you want for your career and you're so young and inexperienced, who wants only the opportunity to gain experience so that you are working, and can get paid at a later date. To say nothing ventured nothing gained. My oldest son went into a small problem 5 years ago and had to do community service and went into a nursing home and left her job and had the fastest time of all seniors to help them. He was offered a job, after all the required hours of stay, but not. But he came back to visit occasionally.
